Why no AI?
AI can flag that something goes wrong - for example, that many users drop off at a certain point. But why, often because of something small nearby, or because it doesn’t match how your organisation actually works, that takes someone who experiences the situation first-hand.
What is Heuristic Evaluation?
Testing the interface against proven usability principles: is something consistent, recognisable, and does it prevent errors before they happen? And what happens when the user does something the process does not account for?
What is Cognitive Walkthrough?
Walking through a task step by step the way a first-time user would, checking at each point whether the next step is obvious. Or where a user might feel slightly lost or unsure, or if there are blocking elements in the process.
