About Myself & EyeLevel UX
In more than 35 years I’ve worked with countless applications and interfaces, and navigated at least as many processes. Almost without exception, something stood out that wasn’t quite right - functional, technical, aesthetic, or process-related. That’s still true today, from individual interfaces to entire processes.
A background in photography gave me a sharp eye for visual detail; by nature I’m sensitive to the small things that are off, and to how they build up into real friction for the user.
Hence the name EyeLevel UX: a sharp eye, combined with a view at the user’s eye level, paired with technical knowledge. That’s how I recognise exactly the moments where a user without an IT background would drop off.
That background - as a System Engineer, Developer, and Project/Team Lead - also means every finding is well-founded: not just what goes wrong, but why, what impact it has, and what a realistic solution looks like.
